How long it takes, how to get your home ready, and what a quality installation looks like from start to finish.
Once you've chosen a new system, the next question is usually: how long will we be without AC? For most standard replacements, the work is finished in a single day. Here's what happens from the time we arrive until your new system is running.
We lay down floor protection along the path we'll be using. Customers notice this, one recent Google reviewer mentioned that we "made sure floor was fully protected" before starting.
The old refrigerant is recovered properly (never vented into the air), and the old outdoor unit and indoor coil are disconnected and removed. We haul the old equipment away.
The new outdoor unit is set on a level pad, and the matched indoor coil (and furnace or air handler, if it's being replaced) goes in. We connect the refrigerant lines, drain line, and electrical, and install a new thermostat if it's part of your package.
Before we call it done, we check for refrigerant leaks, set the correct refrigerant charge, confirm airflow, and run the system in cooling (and heating) mode to make sure it's working the way it should.
We show you how to use your thermostat, where your filter goes and how often to change it, and what your warranty covers. Then we clean up. As one homeowner wrote about a full AC and furnace replacement, the team "provided a rapid installment of a complete a/c and furnace system in 6-hours."

Most straightforward replacements are done in one day. Jobs that include new ductwork, moving equipment to a new location, or electrical upgrades can take longer, we'll tell you upfront during your estimate.
Keep your new system running its best with regular filter changes and yearly tune-ups. Our maintenance plan includes two tune-ups a year and priority scheduling. Still comparing options? Read how to pay for a new AC system.
We'll assess your home and give you a real, no-obligation number.
